Can olive trees withstand the cold?

Most of our olive trees can withstand temperatures down to -10°C to -12°C depending on the variety. The climate in Drôme is favorable to them. For exceptionally cold winters, a winter fleece effectively protects young plants. Potted olive trees require more careful protection—bring them into a veranda or unheated garage.
